In bug 1291858 we landed some mozconfig related changes to allow unsigned addons in ESR. I wonder if we still should allow this in ESR52.

Andy, maybe you have more info here. The question is if we still want to allow unsigned addons in ESR52.

Yes, the assumption is that in enterprise there are other means to control the software on computers so the pref should be toggleable. Remind me, does it default to on or off in ESR builds?

I'm not sure if it was implemented in 45, so probably it's irrelevant. If I read bug 1291858, we want to allow unsigned addons in ESR52, just wanted to make sure it's intended.

Yes. One of the commitments we've made is to allow unsigned addons in ESR, so Enterprises can deploy code internally. It needs to continue to be available.
